CAD Technician
AE7 Pittsburgh is looking for a variety of well-rounded CAD Technicians to work on domestic and/or international work. Preferred candidates will have experience in Architecture, Interior Design and/or Landscape Architecture projects through several phases of development including concept design through construction documentation. Projects range from tenant fit-out to stand-alone buildings of all scales and sizes.
Responsibilities:
- Responsibilities include utilizing BIM/REVIT software to transform designs into working drawings for Architecture, Interior Design and/or Landscape Architecture projects
- Ability to conceive, plan and construct models, plans, elevations, and sections for new or renovation projects
- Ability to review drawings and designs to ensure adherence to the project requirements
- Ability to use software to layout diagrams and designs for presentations
- Able to coordinate drawings between consultants and other disciplines
Qualities & skills required
Essential
- Associates degree in a related area/industry
- Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within architecture, interior design, and/or landscape architecture
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines efficiently
- Portfolio of work that demonstrates the candidate’s capabilities match to related industry
- Good to Excellent knowledge of Revit
Desirable
- Ability to use some of the following: AutoCAD, 3ds Max, Sketch up, Rhino, Grasshopper, Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator
