Road Engineer

AE7 Dubai is looking for a Road Engineer to work on international projects. Preferred candidates must have experience / expertise in Master Planning, Destination Developments, Parks and other multidisciplinary projects of various sizes and scale

Reporting to: Senior Road Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Contribute strategic ideas and plans, take critical decisions and to ensure that decisions are implemented
• Attend project meeting with clients, project managers, whenever required.
• Establish relations with local authorities, attend meetings, workshop sessions and give presentation for the project.
• Responsible for QA/QC related to project submission
• Consistently meet deadlines and project delivery targets.
• Experience in cost saving assessment and reports.
• Preparing and checking project design and assessment calculations, and drawings
• Have the ability to lead the project team for all phases and tasks.
• Preparing and checking project design and assessment calculations, and drawings.
• Checking drawings and calculations
• Undertaking work on site such as bridge inspections and contract supervision
• Preparing Design reports.
• Prepare detail design and familiar with Road software’s including C3D and others.
• Undertaking work on site such as inspections and contract supervision
• Communicating with suppliers, clients, contractors, the public and other engineers within the company.
• Consistently meet deadlines and project delivery targets.
• Analyzing problems and developing innovative solutions.
• Planning your work and the tasks of others on a weekly basis.
• Compliance with Health & Safety, environmental and managerial procedures.
• Presenting/representing your specific technical work (presentations/meetings).
• Assigning and checking the work of technicians/administrative staff.
• Delivering specifically assigned tasks to time and cost.
• Working towards professional qualifications and undertaking training.
• Other duties as requested from time to time.

Qualities & skills required:

• 3-7 years’ experience in design of Highway and Urban and Rural Roads.
• Bachelor’s in civil engineering
• Have experience with Bridges and Tunnels, will be of added value.
• Registered in UAE Society of Engineers.
• Familiar with Road Design models.
• Have good experience in roads design software.
• Self-dependent and accustomed to team work.
• Can handle multiple tasks / projects.
• Have the experience with mid and large-scale projects.
