The interior of the Porto Arabia Yacht Club in Qatar celebrates the exclusive yacht lifestyle with nautical-inspired touches in environments where club members are invited to relax, socialize, and network. In spaces that are comfortable and elegant, club members can spend hours enjoying fine dining in the open air, conversing in plush interiors, or sitting back in the cigar lounge. Our design is inspired by the functional sophistication of the yacht itself—the bright walls and ceiling are accented with touches of wood that, along with a parquet floor, provide a finish reminiscent of a ship’s decking. Likewise the layout’s exclusively rounded corners and curved furniture reflect the bowed angles of a luxury sea vessel.
The expansive ground floor lounge is actually designed to easily transform into a car showroom, with wide entranceways and a fully-windowed wall for natural lighting. Opposite the windows, recessed shelving displays nautical memorabilia along with artwork that our team consulted on. This brightness extends to the private meeting room, while the upper-level lounge’s slightly darker and woodier hue provides a cozier more intimate feel. Notably, the club’s interior partitions are designed to fold open to an elevated balcony, which is shaded by the building’s expansive and curved sail-like roof to allow members to bask comfortably in the seafront breezes.
