Deira Islands encompasses the massive development of four interconnected, man-made islands off the coast of Deira, Dubai’s historic commercial center. The result will be a destination populated by upscale hotels, residences, attractions, and beaches, accommodating roughly a quarter-million people. A project of this magnitude requires skilled infrastructure planning, and our team worked to develop the optimal strategies for zoning the island, placing electricity hubs, cooling large structures, setting-up telecommunications networks, building water and sewage ways, and designing transportation routes.
The Deira Islands project specifically requires creative ways to circumvent the need for an expensive new source of power. Our team devised strategic ways to manage the current municipal capacity through optimal electric substation placement. To ensure that every plot is livable and desirable for future tenants, this plan prioritizes smartuse of green spaces and easy access to both amenities and the coast.Taking into account the satisfaction of all future stakeholders—including developers, municipal authorities, visitors, and residents—this well-researched infrastructure plan helps to secure the future of this ambitious development.
