For PNC Bank, AE7 devised a strategy to reimagine its traditional banking as investment centers that reflect the evolving needs of modern clientele who are looking for a tailored financial advisement experience. The new guidelines transform the investor’s interaction with the brick-and-mortar location by creating an environment inspired by the hospitality industry. Teller booths, offices, and vaults are effectively replaced by a spacious, open concept lounge that incorporates high-end furniture and reflects the bank’s identity through a refined yet accessible color palette and choice of materials. Around the perimeter of the lounge, offices lined with floor-to-ceiling windows allow advisors to meet with clients in spaces that offer both privacy and transparency while bringing natural light into the entire space. The result is a new banking environment where new and existing investors feel comfortable building lasting relationships with their advisors within a space that can be as pleasant and enjoyable as visiting a local coffee shop.
