The design transforms an elegant historic house that over the years became dated into a modern twenty-first-century home, rich in character and classic details. While the stately red-brick exterior needed a fair amount of work to restore the house’s character and beauty, it was the interior that required a new vision. Through re-envisioning the floor plans, adding bathrooms, and creating a master suite, our team transformed the house into a clean and modern living space that continues to celebrate its historic character with touches like brass fittings, solid hardwood flooring, and a playful take on wainscot paneled walls. The house’s exterior and landscaping were restored to their former glory with the help of extensive historic research and comparisons to other historic structures in the neighborhood.
