the Skinny and Roberts Buildings
The renovation drew inspiration from the original historic details and existing finishes, resulting in a reflection of the local history. To bring a fresh feel to the renovated spaces, sophisticated and modern touches were carefully woven-in throughout the exterior as well as the interior.
Given the age of the structures and their former uses, all infrastructure (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and life safety egress) must be updated to meet current building codes. The Skinny Building will be used as an exhibition gallery, the Roberts Building as an auditorium, 439 as a Public Safety Center, and 443 as a flex workspace.
The construction is scheduled to be finished by early Spring 2024.
